What we collect
We collect your name, phone number, CDL information, truck details, insurance policy numbers and expiry dates, DOT/MC authority numbers, and GPS location data while you're on an active load. We also collect load history and earnings data to improve our matching and generate your commission invoices. Your phone number is used to send you the SMS messages described in our SMS / Text Messaging Program terms, including verification codes and dispatch alerts.
How we use it
Your data is used exclusively to operate the dispatch service: to find loads that match your SOP, to negotiate with brokers on your behalf, to track active loads, to monitor compliance, and to generate commission invoices. We do not sell your data, including your phone number, to anyone. We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in status with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use the mobile information you provide for marketing purposes ourselves, either — all SMS messages you receive relate directly to the operation of your account and active loads. We share data with service providers only as necessary to operate the service (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Twilio for SMS delivery), and those providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.
GPS and location data
GPS location is only collected while you have an active confirmed load. It is used by Lane to detect pickup and delivery events automatically. Location data is not shared with brokers or other parties.
Data retention
We retain your operator profile, load history, and financial records for 7 years for tax and legal purposes. You may request deletion of non-essential data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You may request a copy of all data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account at any time. Contact us at privacy@dispatch104.com.
